Maine Trip Details
June 14-20 2026
The major streams to be fished are the Middle and Lower Magalloway, Kennabago, and Rapid rivers.
An excellent resource for exploring the area is the Rangeley Lakes Region Trail Map by Wilderness Maps. The fantastic local fly shop in town is Rangeley Fly Shop for fishing supplies and info. The Rangeley Fly Shop is also the best resource for hiring a local Guide.
We have also enlisted the help of a local TU Chapter, the Mollyockett Chapter of TU to assist us in fishing some “secret” spots!
Tom Jones can also help guide the Middle Magalloway River section.
Note: Upper Mag is off limits unless you have a key to the gated road!
Drive: It’s about an 8–9-hour drive (500 miles).
The easiest and most scenic route is to take Interstate 91 once reaching Hartford, Connecticut.
Dates: Monday, June 15th, 2025, through Saturday. June 20th, 2025.
Most will arrive on Monday and depart either Friday or Saturday.
Lodging: It’s suggested that you book early to insure best accommodations.
Most will be staying at the Rangeley Inn.
Those who prefer to cook your own meals may want to check out Rangeley Town & Lakes - Guest Reservations.
Various other lodging options are also available including camping. Check Goggle maps for more lodging and restaurants.
